WHO WE WORK WITH
SMART FARM & RURAL IT INFRASTRUCTURE
Modern businesses increasingly depend on data, connectivity and connected technology. Avenor designs and installs robust IT infrastructure connecting people, buildings, machinery, security systems and smart agricultural equipment across rural sites.
We build the digital backbone — from the incoming internet connection through to farm-wide wired and wireless networks — so technology can operate reliably today and the site is ready for what comes next.

Structured NetworksCat6/Cat6A, fibre, network cabinets, managed switching and professional Wi-Fi.
Farm-Wide ConnectivityFibre, point-to-point wireless and outdoor Wi-Fi linking homes, offices, barns, workshops, yards and remote buildings.
Connected SecurityIP CCTV, remote monitoring, gates and access-control connectivity across large rural sites.
Precision Farming ReadyConnectivity for GPS guidance, machinery telematics, sensors, weather stations, livestock monitoring and future agri-tech.
Resilient InternetIntegration of fibre, 4G/5G and satellite services with managed networks, UPS and backup connectivity where appropriate.
IoT & MonitoringInfrastructure for environmental sensors, tank levels, energy monitoring, alarms, automation and remote equipment.BUILT FOR AGRICULTURAL ENVIRONMENTS
Our approach considers the real conditions found across farms, equestrian properties and rural sites — wet and dusty areas, corrosive atmospheres, livestock, rodents, machinery, wash-down, external equipment and the risk of mechanical damage.
ELECTRICAL DESIGN & ENGINEERING
For larger and more complex projects, our capability extends beyond installation into electrical design, coordination and power planning.

TEMPORARY POWER & GENERATION
We provide temporary power distribution and generation solutions for farms, estates, rural businesses, construction projects, events and emergency requirements.
Services can include generator supplies, temporary LV distribution, distribution boards, cabling, temporary lighting, changeover arrangements and site-wide temporary power systems, with installations planned around the load and operational requirements of the site.

MOP & HV APPLICATIONS / DESIGN
For larger agricultural, estate and rural developments, we can support projects that extend beyond standard LV installation work, including DNO applications, new or upgraded electrical supplies, maximum-demand assessments, utility liaison, transformer and substation strategy, and coordination of the HV/LV interface.
This allows us to remain involved from early-stage load assessment and DNO application through to HV/LV design coordination, LV distribution, installation, metering, controls and final electrical delivery.
LV DISTRIBUTION
We design and install LV distribution systems for agricultural buildings and rural businesses, including main switchboards, distribution boards, submains, three-phase supplies, local isolation, machinery feeds and alterations to existing installations.
Whether the project is a new barn, dairy upgrade, workshop, grain store, pump installation or expansion of an existing site, we can provide the complete electrical distribution package from incoming supply through to final circuits and equipment connections.
ENERGY AS A VALUE-ADD
We don't treat solar as a stand-alone product. We look at the entire electrical installation: incoming supply, maximum demand, distribution, load profile, available installation space, EV demand and battery opportunity.
That means the system is designed as part of the farm — not simply bolted onto it.
Discuss a farm energy survey →SOLAR PV & BATTERY PAYBACK
No technical knowledge needed. Tell us roughly how much space you have and what you spend on electricity, and we’ll give you an indicative system size, cost and payback.
Well-matched commercial and agricultural sites with strong daytime electricity use and a straightforward installation may achieve simple payback from around 4 years. Sites with strong daytime electricity use generally achieve the best returns because more solar power is used on site rather than exported.
Indicative estimate only. Cost assumptions represent an efficient, straightforward commercial installation and will vary by site. The calculator is for initial guidance and does not constitute a quotation, guaranteed saving or guaranteed payback. Final figures are subject to site survey, system design, structural suitability, DNO requirements and current equipment and energy prices.
This is an initial feasibility estimate, not a quotation. Final performance and cost depend on the actual installation area, orientation, shading, electrical usage, network capacity, access, equipment selection and site survey.
From outright purchase to third-party finance and energy partnership models, we can help explore a commercial structure that fits your site, cash flow and long-term objectives.
Fund the installation directly and retain the full long-term benefit of the energy generated.
Spread the cost through an approved finance partner rather than committing the full capital sum up front.
For suitable sites, a third-party funded energy model may allow solar to be installed with little or no upfront capital outlay, with the value of the energy shared over an agreed term.
